ODORBN BEGINS RE-ACCREDITATION EXERCISE AT AD-COHST

The Proprietor of AD-COHST Arc Aminu Dabo has expressed satisfaction with the excellent performance of Dispensing Optianary students at both the National and internal Examinations since the introduction of the program in the College in the year 2016/42017 academic session. Arc Aminu Dabo made this assertion when he received the 4-member Accreditation Team from the Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Registration Board of Nigeria led by Prof. Ebele Bridget Uzodike, the Registrar of the Board. He said these achievements were a clear attestation and indicator that the College is doing very well in that aspect of health profession since mounting the Dispensing Optianary program in the College. The Proprietor maintained that this remarkable accomplishment was made possible with the provision of state-of-the-art equipment, facilities and quality training by the teachers in the department. He re-assured that the College will not compromise quality and standard in the pursuit of its set objectives and urged the Board to conduct the exercise fairly and advise appropriately for the improvement of the program in the College. The Registrar of the Board Prof Ebele Bridget Uzodike had earlier told the Proprietor that the Team was on a 2-Day re-accreditation exercise to allow the College to secure full accreditation after years of take-off and mounting of the program. She said during the exercise, the team will inspect and re-assess areas early and make observations and recommendations for improvement in manpower development, equipment and facilities for effective training in the department. The team under the guidance of the Provost of the College Dr Sant Hamza Garba and other principal officers of the department were conducted round some of the College facilities including the Dispensing Optianary Laboratory and students in classroom session.
