ARC DABO SUPPORTS BOOK LAUNCHING WITH SUM OF A HALF-MILLION (N500,000:00k) NAIRA.
The Proprietor of AD-COHST Arc (Dr) Aminu Dabo has congratulated the famous Hausa poet and artist Aminu Ladan Abubakar (ALA) for the successful launching of his book titled "DIWANIN WAKOKIN ALAN WAKA".
The book with 635 pages is on life and songs of the legendary, fierce, brave poet authored by Prof Salisu Ahmad Yakasai of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto assisted by Mal Abu Ubaida Sani Federal University Gusau Zamfara State.
The documentation is also a socio-linguistic aspect containing important aspects of societal norms and values of Hausa literature, culture and traditions.
Speaking, Arc Aminu Dabo described the book as historic and quite an interesting work, noting that the talent in writing and composing a poem as well as its importance to learners and listeners, particularly to the students of Hausa literature studies, could not be overemphasized.
He announced the purchase of forty copies of the Book at the sum of two Hundred Thousand Naira (N250, 000:00k) for use in the twin Colleges of Health AD-COHST and AD-CONM owned by him.
Arc Aminu Dabo recommended the book to all to acquire and possess copies for their leisure, research and other academic activities that will promote Hausa literature.
The occasion, held today at Convocation Hall, Bayero University Kano and was in attendance of a number of prominent personalities in Kano and beyond, including the representatives of the Emir of Kano, Emirs of Zazzau and that of Dutse in Jigawa state, as well as the Accountant General of the Federation Alh Ahmad Idris and Al-Shiek Mallam lbrahim Khalil among others.
